Nora Cassar is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). She obtained her Master’s of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is fully licensed in the state of North Carolina and New Mexico.
Nora has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. She has facilitated groups that include addiction disorders, anger management, mindfulness and coping skills. Using a strength-based approach, mindfulness, coping skills, thinking errors, and art therapy, Nora empowers an individual to gain access to their hidden potential; addressing behaviors and emotions that foster negative belief patterns. Nora has experience working with behavioral issues, parenting issues, family conflict, anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, self-esteem issues, women’s issues, grief, substance abuse and more. She believes that an individual has the potential to resolve their own issues and live a fulfilling life with the assistance and collaboration of a therapeutic alliance.
